Arkki School of Architecture for Children and Youth organizes weekly architecture lessons at the Cable Factory in Helsinki, WeeGee and the Schoolmaster’s School in Espoo and Tikkurila in Vantaa. Various camps and theme courses are also available at Kaapelitehdas, WeeGee and Ruukinranta during school holidays.
How to become a student
Architecture education is divided into early childhood architectural education (VO) for 4–6-year-olds, basic education for 7–9-year-olds and 10–14-year-olds (PO), and advanced studies for over-15s (SO). Preschoolers (VO) engage in child-parent groups with their own parent or another close adult.
The weekly teaching groups can be found in the syllabus and on the registration form – click on the green button! If there is space in the group, you will receive a confirmation message from info(at)arkki.net. The invoice and information letter will be sent later by separate e-mails. If there is no confirmation of registration acceptance, you are left in the queue. You can inquire about the queuing situation by e-mail. New students will be admitted to the vacancies in the order of registration.
TERM FEES
- Early childhood architecture education for 4-6-year-olds: autumn 180 € + spring 180 € = 360 €
- Basic architecture education for 7-9- and 10-14-year-olds: autumn 185 € + spring 185 € = 370 €
- Advanced studies in architecture over 15 years of age: autumn 195 € + spring 195 € = 390 €

How to participate in camps or courses
Summer camps and theme courses can be found on both the website and the registration form. All camps and courses are completed in the order of registration. Once the registration has been approved, it will be confirmed by e-mail from info(at)arkki.net. The invoice and additional information letter will be sent later by separate e-mails. If there is no confirmation of registration, you are left in the queue. You can inquire about the status of the queue by e-mail.

- Hut Building Camps at Ruukinranta: 5 days €245, 4 days €205
- Hut Building Family Camps at Ruukinranta: 2 persons €225 + the following €60/person
- Cable Factory, WeeGee and Karhusaari Camps: 5 days €235, 4 days €200
- Karhusaari family day: 2 persons €115 + the following €30/person

Cancellation policy
All registrations are binding, and cancellations must always be notified in writing to the Arkki office at info(at)arkki.net. Cancellations will not be accepted by phone or through teachers. Please also note that non-payment of the invoice is not a cancellation!
A student place in basic architecture education is permanent once it has been admitted. The right to study automatically continues for the next semester unless it is revoked. The student place for the next semester must be cancelled for the spring semester on 30.11. and for the autumn semester 30.4. by. If the place is cancelled 14 days before the beginning of the semester or later, 25% of the tuition fee will be charged. If a student place is cancelled at the beginning of the semester, we will charge the full tuition fee. In addition, an office fee of € 20 per student will be charged for cancellation.
Registration for camps and theme courses is mandatory. Cancellations will be charged 20 € / student. If participation in the camp or course is cancelled 14 days before the start of the camp or later, an additional 25% of the camp fee will be charged. If participation is cancelled after the start of the camp, the full camp fee will be charged. In case of illness, the camp fee can be refunded against a medical certificate. In this case, please contact the office. The camp can be cancelled by the organizer if there are not enough confirmed participants.
