This morning, took place the first session of the Arkki workshop in #Croatia on beautiful, sustainable and inclusive living where children envision our future cities.
This creative workshop is part of the @mdfsibenik program and belongs to the #ArkkiNEB project within the New European Bauhaus initiative. The main purpose is to make children's voices heard.

Na radionicama "Budućnost stanovanja/Future living" koje će se održati 24. i 25. lipnja u sklopu 61. @mdfsibenik saznat ćete na koji način @arkkiinternational poziva djecu da osmisle inovativna rješenja za lijepo, održivo i uključivo stanovanje budućnosti. 🤩
👉 Projekt se provodi u suradnji s @arkkifinland i Arkki partnerima u Europi. 👉 Tijekom proljeća 2021. godine djeca u dobi od 4 do 14 godina zamišljala su i nastavljaju zamišljati buduće gradove, okruženja i zgrade. Korištene metodologije su projektantski procesi promišljanja s naglaskom na eksperimentalni rad, crtanje i izgradnju modela. 💚

“Living in harmony with nature will allow people to have a happier and better quality of life” Lilja envisions a future where, due to the poor air quality, humanity needs to create oxygen balls that filter the air and bring a base of soil to the new plants.
The transparent windows will allow the residents to enjoy the beautiful and pleasant nature. The different colors in the building represent the diversity of the vegetation around the building.

Jutros je u održana prva Arkki radionica lijepog, održivog i uključivog stanovanja u kojoj djeca izrađuju gradove budućnosti prema vlastitim vizijama. 🥰
Ova kreativna radionica dio je radioničkog programa @mdfsibenik, a organizirana je u sklopu projekta #ArkkiNEB, dijela nove europske inicijative Bauhaus kojoj je cilj da se dječji glas čuje diljem Europe i svijeta. Koncept Arkki programa temelji se na usmjeravanju djece i mladih da već od djetinjstva promišljaju, razrađuju vlastite ideje te zapažaju stvari kako bi u budućnosti bili spremni na promjene.

The Future City is full of wonders. There's a lot of just plants. A wonderful fairy lives there. The fairy has it's home in the city. The home is mossy, palm trees are growing next to it and little brothers are playing on the roof. The fairy loves it there.
Tulevaisuuden kaupungissa tapahtuu vaikka mitä ihmeitä. Siellä on pelkkää kasvia. Siellä asuu ihmeellinen keiju. Siellä on keijun koti. Se on sammaleinen, siinä on palmuja vieressä ja pikkuveljet leikkii katolla. Se keiju tykkää olla siellä.

“Energy comes from these pillars (black high columns). They collect energy when people bounce in these little ones. Each time you jump, the big pillar gets 10 percent energy at a time. Up to 100%.These big ones are energy tanks, you shouldn't bounce on them, because they can give you an electric shock.” Nea (9) ideated an innovative way of generating energy for this building whose door is located on the roof and has the tallest tree in the world!
“Energiaa tulee näistä pylväistä (mustat korkeat pillit). Ne kerää energiaa kun ihmiset pomppii näissä pienissä. Aina kun hyppää, isoon pilliin tulee energiaa 10 prosenttia kerrallaan. 100% asti. Nää isot on energia säiliöitä, niiden päällä ei kannata pomppia, sillä niistä voi saada sähköiskun.” Nea (9) loi innovatiivisen tavan tuottaa energiaa tälle rakennukselle, jonka ovi sijaitsee katolla ja jolla on maailman korkein puu!

The tallest building in the world, the Niko House
“It has ten floors, 4 solar panels, a slide, a swimming pool and a jump rack.
This house, it's really weird. It is really well supported, otherwise it would crash.”
This building, designed by 9 year-old Matias, has 13 TVs, 5000 beds and plenty of empty space in the middle floors to do whatever you please. The lower floors can be used for chilling and the upper ones for playing, eating and sunbathing.

”Se on kymmenen kerroksinen. Siinä on 4 aurinkopaneelia, liukumäki, uima-allas ja hyppyteline. Sillä hypätään. Tää talo, se on tosi outo! Se on tuettu todella hyvin, muuten se kaatuisi.”
Matiaksen (9v) rakennuksessa on 5000 sänkyä, 13 telkkaria ja tyhjää tilaa keskikerroksissa. Alakerrassa asukkaat voivat rentoutua ja ylemmissä kerroksissa pelata, syödä ja ottaa aurinkoa.

New European Bauhaus is an open call for ideas of a better environment from all EU citizens in 2021.
Arkki International joins the call with an initiative to enable children´s voices to be heard in this project across Europe. Arkki´s project invites children to ideate innovative solutions for beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive living in the future.
The project is conducted in collaboration with Arkki Finland and Arkki partners in Europe. During the spring of 2021 children between ages 4 to 14, have envisioned and continue to imagine future cities, environments, and buildings. The methodologies used are design thinking processes with an emphasis on experimenting, drawing, and model-building.
The project is led by Arkki International’s headteacher Mr Jere Keskinen through on-site, online, and hybrid sessions together with Arkki´s professional architect teachers in different countries, in 6 languages. In Finland, the project was facilitated by 9 Arkki Finland pedagogues extending across 1000 hours. By May 360 children have participated from Finland, Greece, Czech Republic and Turkey.
Children and youth of different ages have come up with innovative ideas, solutions, and prototypes around new technologies, sustainability, nature, integration, renovations, and recycling. Among the ideas were e.g. green, living, or robot buildings, new energy sources, the invention of the fifth dimension, new lighting solutions, or bubble cities.
